Before You Create Change Requests

The following are needed to create change requests:

For administrators:

  1. You must have already defined appropriate change request priorities in the Maintain List Values tables. See Maintaining List Values .
  2. If a system generated change request number is required, your administrator must have already defined an appropriate numbering mask in the System Defaults. See Defining Default System Settings .
  3. The object for which you want to add the change request must already be Approved.
  4. If you want users to create change requests from a template, you must create a change request template and set the Status of the template to Approved.

For users:

  1. To create a change request, you must have the New Object Instances > Change Request permission.
